Qi Pao is not costume, but one type of special Chinese dress. Qi Pao is also called 'Chinese Dress'. It was originally designed for Manchurian Women, a northern tribe from north east China. In 30s and 40s of Last century, Chinese fashion designer transform the dress into it 'current' form. It normally made of silk or silk like fabre with straigh up Collar, right side buttoned in a curve line style, the waist part is narrowed in to profile lady body shape, the lower hem of the dress is sidely opened. It was one of the most fashionable woman dress in China throughout the years. Now it has become hot again, of course in relatively new style.
